Why “We Love It, But…” Is the Most Important Feedback You’ll Hear

Published: 29/04/2026

Feedback after viewings often follows a familiar pattern: “We really like it, but…”

At first glance, this can feel frustrating, or even dismissive. But in reality, this is some of the most valuable feedback a seller can receive.

Because it means the buyer is already close.

They’ve connected with the property. They can see themselves there.

The “but” is what’s stopping them from moving forward.

And that “but” is often specific:
 • “But it feels slightly overpriced”
 • “But the layout didn’t quite work for us”
 • “But we’re unsure about the timing”

These aren’t rejections. They’re signals.
When multiple viewers share similar “buts,” patterns begin to form.
And those patterns highlight exactly what needs attention.

This could mean:
 • Adjusting pricing
 • Improving presentation
 • Clarifying information

Ignoring this feedback means missing an opportunity.
Understanding it means moving closer to the right buyer.
Because the gap between “we love it” and “we’ll offer” is often smaller than it seems.
